Subscribing to Adobe Creative Cloud
If you’ve received an invitation for Creative Cloud, or already purchased on another computer, skip to Activating Adobe Apps below.
- Open a Safari and go to the Creative Cloud page.
- Choose a plan – monthly, annual contract or free 30-day trial. There are special discounts for existing Creative Suite owners.
- Sign into your Adobe account. Don’t have an Adobe ID? Create one.
- Enter your billing information and make your purchase.
- Need to install apps? See installation instructions here.
Activating Adobe apps
Apps must be activated with your Adobe ID within 30 days of installation. Each computer must connect to the internet every 30 days to keep software active and usable.
- Open an Adobe app. You may see a message asking you to sign in – skip to step 3.
- Click the Help menu. If your apps are licensed, you’ll see the Adobe account here.
- Sign in with your Adobe ID. Or choose Sign Out, then sign in with another account if desired.
Deactivating Adobe apps
Each license can be used on a maximum of two computers. If you need Adobe apps on a third computer, deactivate one or more Adobe apps on one computer and install or activate on another. Deactivating one app deactivates all Adobe apps on that computer.
- Open the Adobe Creative Cloud app from the menu bar, Launcher or Applications folder.
- Click the gear icon and choose Preferences. Click Account and Sign Out and Sign Out.
- On another computer, follow the steps above to install Adobe apps (optional).
- The software remains on the original computer so you can reactivate again as needed.
Creative Cloud for Teams
Creative Cloud apps are normally licensed, downloaded and installed on-demand by each user. If your organization has more than 3 computers, you might consider Creative Cloud for Teams. This plan allows an administrator to manage and deploy software installations and share files with the group. See admin instructions.
