Macintosh computers can joing (bind) to an OS X Open Directory or Windows Active Directory for authentication. This can be useful for single sign-on with network accounts.
- Click the Apple menu and choose System Preferences. Choose Users & Groups.
- Click the lock to authenticate as a local admin user.
- Choose Login Options. Click Join… or Edit….
- Click the arrow to choose a directory server or type the address in the box. Click OK.
- If asked, you may choose to trust the server if you know it to be trustworthy.
- Close the Users & Groups window.
