Visiting an Apple Store

The Apple Store is the envy of retail, with a higher sales-per-square-foot than any company in the world. Walk into an Apple Store and you’ll see why – dozens of Apple staff helping scores of happy Apple customers. Navigating all this activity can be a challenge.

When you need help purchasing products, technical help at the Genius Bar, or a workshop, schedule it ahead. An Apple representative will be waiting for you. Need to place an order? Items can be delivered to your door or picked up at an Apple Store location within an hour. Just show your photo ID and sign your name.

For easy shopping and appointments from your iPhone or iPad, use the Apple Store app. You can also place orders for shipping or pick-up with this handy tool. While you’re at the store, small items can be scanned directly with the app. No need for credit cards or cash –purchases are charged to your Apple account (the same one you use for apps and iTunes). Simply walk out the door with your new Apple gear.

Purchasing from the Apple Store.

  1. Go to
  2. Choose your first item.
  3. For same-day shipping or pick-up, do not customize (configure) your product with upgraded memory, storage or software.
  4. Click Add to Cart.
  5. Click Continue Shopping. When you're finished shopping, click Check Out.
  6. Sign in with your Apple ID and password  - the same one you use for App Store & iTunes purchases.
  7. For each item, choose to ship it or pick it up in an Apple Store. You can click Change Store and select one based on your zip code. If we're picking it up, confirm the location with us first.
  8. Choose whether the billing contact or someone else will accept delivery and enter their information. If we're picking up the items enter the email address: and check the box confirming you've read Apple's pickup policy.
  9. Click Continue.
  10. Confirm the payment method. You can use a credit card, financing or lease. If you've used this Apple ID for purchases in the past, your credit card may be on file - simply type the code from the back of the credit card.
  11. Verify all order details  and place your order.
  12. You'll receive a confirmation email and the pickup contact will receive a notice when the items are ready.
  13. Picking up? When you arrive at the store simply tell the greeter you're picking up an order. You'll need the order number, a photo ID and signature.
