Adding a new email account isn’t usually difficult. On Mac, see instructions here. On iPhone/iPad, go to the Settings app and choose Mail, Contacts, Calendars and add an account. Major email providers are supported directly – just pick it from the list on the Mac or device.
For other providers, enter information as directed. If servers and ports are requested, look them up in the table below. Use your actual username & password. If you don’t know the password, you shoudl be able to reset it on your email website. If your provider isn’t shown, do a web search for your mail provider’s name followed by “mail servers.”
We highly recommend using IMAP or other modern protocols whenever possible. The old POP protocol doesn’t sync between devices. Learn more about email protocols.

Google (Gmail), iCloud and Microsoft have their own protocols. If your device/app offers direct support for these providers, use it instead of IMAP. If this isn’t possible, you may need to adjust settings on your email account on the web before using IMAP. For example, to use Google/Gmail in Outlook through IMAP you must allow less secure apps to access your account.
GoDaddy Workspace email requires an Unlimited plan for IMAP – otherwise, use incoming server pop.secureserver.net (or change plans). Check email plans here.
